Ivy is officially partnering with Journey Psychotherapy Center to provide mental health therapy services at a lower cost for students on our campus. This school year, Luke Hunter will be on campus once a week to meet with clients.

We want to make sure fees and transportation do not stop students from getting help! You can support Ivy Academy students in need by making a donation to the Mental Health Matters Program. Insurance cannot be applied to meetings with the Journey therapists, but if the reduced fee is not feasible for a family, this program will help cover bills. Speak with your school counselor if you want to learn more about the scholarship options.

  • Program Description:  While school counselors work on short-term, solution-focused counseling concerning social, emotional, and academic needs at school, therapists work with long-term, in-depth issues, including anxiety and depression, grief, trauma, etc. Ivy Academy is collecting donations to help pay for Ivy students’ therapy sessions. For those who cannot find a therapist in-network, or are unable to pay the full session amount, we want to help!

  • How to Donate: Please send a check or cash to Ivy Academy, including “Mental Health Matters” on the note line. Every $10 dollars donated equals one volunteer hour for Ivy families.

  • Students referred through the counseling department at Ivy will qualify for the scholarship. If you have any questions, please contact Meg Sutter or Alicia Holbrook.
