“Hi everyone! My name is Patrick Cooper. I am the High School Counselor, working with grades 9-12. This is my third year at Ivy Academy, and I have been working in schools since I was first out of high school myself. I am a native Chattanoogan, and pursued both my bachelors and masters degrees at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
My approach to working with students is to walk alongside them, helping them pursue their social/emotional, personal, and academic goals. This might look like a conversation about working with peers, learning how to work through challenging situations, or helping students decide what they are interested in doing after high school.
Fun Facts about Mr. Cooper: My longest road trip was over 6,000 miles. I have backpacked on foot through Europe. And I am extremely colorblind.
