Mike Ellis is the Environmental Science, Applied Environmental Science and Student Jr Rangers teacher this year. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Park Management and Conservation with a secondary major in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from Kansas State University in 2011. Since college, he has been a Naturalist Park Ranger in various parks including: Death Valley National Park, Bryce Canyon NP, Carlsbad Caverns NP, Oregon Caves National Monument, Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park, Meramec Caverns State Park, and Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge.

Mike recently relocated to Tennessee with his wife and their dog. He enjoys spending time in the great out-of-doors hiking, swimming, playing disc golf, camping, and relaxing.
