Integrated Curriculum
Our curriculum integrates real-world environmental concepts into all disciplines.
A Biodiversity survey begins with the biology class. In collecting and analyzing their data, and communicating it to a local monitoring program and to other students, students find real world applications for their developing skills in computer technology, math, language arts, social studies and science.
Teachers from all subjects work together to make lessons relevant to each other. Not only does this reinforce learning across the curriculum, it adds coherence to the vast amounts of information they must learn. This approach goes beyond rote memorization and helps students connect what they learn in class to
life outside of school.
